Most of the population has or will have a mobile phone, but does any of us stop and think about the functions that we take for granted each time we use them? Do you think about Bluetooth when you are using your hands free device, or when you transfer files from mobile to PC?

What is Bluetooth?

Bluetooth is wireless technology. It is a small chip that replaces cables, by taking the information normally carried along by the cable, and transmitting it at a frequency to a receiver Bluetooth chip. This then gives the information received to your mobile phone, personal computer or hands free device.

What can Bluetooth do for me?

Bluetooth is great for receiving ring tones, pictures or files from your friends phones. The best thing about this type of file transfer is that it is free.

Your Bluetooth device works on a short range so you can leave your mobile on your dashboard and still receive calls via your headset.

When you change your mobile phone have you ever wondered what will happen to your precious photos you have taken with your camera phone? With Bluetooth, you can transfer these pictures to your personal computer for storage. You will need a Bluetooth dongle to enable your PC to receive the file and to send the file to your new phone.
