Online Games

 Some people surf the net for information on particular subjects, others come online to play games.

There are lots of different sites that you can play “solitaire” type games on. The games can range from solitaire card games - similar to the one in your programs menu-, sudoku, mah jong, chess, checkers, crosswords, tetris etc – the list is endless.

Some sites offer downloadable games so that you can play them offline, therefore saving you money if you are on a standard dial up package. There can also be the option of playing them for credits or money. Sites that offer this usually give the option to use your credits to purchase tickets into daily draws for cash prizes.

Games that involve two players like, for example backgammon or chess, can be played against the sites computer or by a site user if a player enters the table that you are playing. Usually the site will match your abilities so that you are not a novice playing an advanced player.

As well as games, there are also quiz type questionnaires that can be answered to give you your IQ level or surveys that you can earn money for answering.

Some of my personal favourites are sudoku, bejewelled and crossword type puzzles from a popular online games site. They are great for playing when you are bored of the usual surfing and brilliant for the kids to play and learn new strategic skills.
