The Four Element Signs

Each of the twelve houses has its own characteristic traits. These traits are based on each of the four elements. The four elements are Fire, Air, Water and Earth.

Fire

The three signs that are classed as Fire signs are Aries, Leo and Sagittarius.

People who are Fire signs are spontaneous and impulsive. They have a lively imagination, are full of life and have a quick emotional response.

When two Fire signs meet the combination is forceful and they spur each other on in all ways. They are on the same wavelength and will share a passionate, warm and loving relationship.

Air

The three Air signs are Libra, Aquarius and Gemini.

People who are Air signs are quick and animated. They are the least emotional out of the four groups. They live for conversation and enjoy discussing their thoughts. They find new projects far more exciting than carrying them through.

Air signs are very suited to each other but can find it difficult when it comes to expressing emotions. They worry about commitment and are unhappy in a claustrophobic relationship.

Water

The three Water signs are Cancer, Scorpio and Pisces.

People with a very strong Water character are emotional and sensitive. They can also be quite imaginative. They can sometimes be interpreted as being moody and unwilling to communicate so, the best person to understand a Water sign is another Water sign!

Two Water signs can have a very protective, caring, cosy relationship together. These strong emotions can also have the opposite effect and can destroy the relationship through jealousy.

Earth

The three Earth signs are Taurus, Virgo and Capricorn.

Earth signs are practical, innately cautious, careful and restrained. They like stability and turn to work to consolidate their situation in life.

Earth signs are extremely faithful and permanent relationships are important to them. They are very suited as a love match, and find it reassuring to meet someone else who is as down to earth as themselves.
